Electric wiper motor

Bought one of the electric windshield wiper motors made by Vintique, the ones that Drake,Mac and everyone else is selling. Problem is that it wipes very slow, even on high speed. Car is still 6 Volt and the wiper motor is 6 v. Just curious if anyone else has had this experience.

No experience but being a late comer, very curious.. I would like to switch mine to 6V also.

Bama.....Same problem here, but I very seldom go out in the rain. When I do it does operate slow.

My 55 F-100 has the original 6-volt electric wipers which work really well. Perhaps if you were able to locate one, it may give you better results. Steve

I bought a pair of electric Mighty Wiper motors for my '36, they work really well and were easy to install and work properly. He sells them in 6 v +ve ground and 12 v -ve ground.

The 6 v electric motor I had in there previously (not sure what kind it was, and I don't feel like diving into the swamp to retrieve it) worked slowly too. It also stuck out very far from the headliner and I was sick and tired of banging my forehead on it getting in and out of the car.

Let me recommend a guy who is not only SUPER knowledgeable about ALL wiper motors and has parts to fix them...he is just a terrific guy who will sit and give you the benefit of his years in this hobby. He has no email address so you have to call him:
