Electric fuel pump

"May be reliable but they don't list a pump for stock flatheads, just for modified ones (12 volt)"

I agree with that as well. I looked for a 6v a while back and it appears that they did at one time but no longer.

Been running 2 of them for over 15 years. One in my '48 F1 and one in a '84 Bronco II with a 302 in it. No room for a standard pump. Never a minute's problem.

Are they noisy? I have a rotary pump (?) that is very noisy even rubber mounted. Thnx

All electric fuel pumps I have been around tend to be noisy, you can even hear the ones mounted inside the fuel tank on many cars.

Ron can answer, but the number of carbs shouldn't make any difference in the fuel pressure, in the 2.5 range.

The Pump I use puts out 4/5 lbs, should work with a 94. You might have to use a regulator for a 97. I run a 2GC, so not a problem. As for fuel flow, no natter howmany carbs you run the engine determines how much fuel it needs. Running too rich can ruin the rings and dekute the oil. Running more than one carb on a street engine is more for aesthetic than anything else and must ne properly tuned. Might want to use an AF meter to set it up.

I just ordered an airtex e8011, 6v, yesterday in hope it helps with my hard starting issue. My mechanical pump only puts out 1.5 psi and that is after a rebuild.

Very hard to start after its been running a few minutes, seems like it lacks fuel and at 1.5 psi that was my first guess. I haven't had it running more than 10 minutes at a time and only had it running a couple times. I don't believe its gotten to 180F ever, yesterday my infrared thermometer was showing 135 on the cyl head and steel radiator return tube. Long periods of cranking and only occasionally seemed like it would light-off but no joy. Let it sit awhile and started immediately, ran literally 1 minute and would not re-start. I did notice a slight leak at the float-bowl inlet fitting, just enough to dampen the area, more of a weep. 'Think I have that fixed now, noodling with the grille today. Pump should be here Wed. Do you have some brilliant idea that will make me change the name of it from "buyer's remorse"?

Ron the motor was originally built by motor city flatheads and has their stamping on the top of the block. The previous owner here in Australia just did a re ring and new bearings etc before I bought it. It has a pretty lumpy cam I'm not sure what it is and I've just bought a aluminium flywheel and new clutch plus some other Thickstun "jewellery ". Sounded awesome on the engine stand. I'm just putting the frame and suspension back together while the body(35 roadster) is at the body shop. So I do need to buy a fuel pump and a new regulator will order that pump you use. I'll post more photos of the motor once I get rid of the awful blue colour and repolish all the shiny bits dan
