This will work and look great on your '35 and be camouflaged as well. Go with a Spal push fan and mount it between your radiator and your grill, no body will notice it. I run a '35 with an 8BA, built the front of the motor to look like the 59A and went with a small 11" - 4 blade mechanical fan from a 60 hp Flatty mounted on my alternator just for looks and the Spal between the radiator and grille for backup. The 11" clears the Crab style mallory electronic and kind of looks like the 59A would've looked.

On my 39 pickup have a custom radiator/shroud set up from Brass Works, thinking they could make a fan/shroud for your application. They used a Spal single fan and it is a nice set up. I put my fan relay inside the voltage regulator box.

The pictured alternator is a Ford one wire with a Flathead adapter from Certified Auto Electric in Ohio, good luck. I found the wiring to be the most satisfying part of my restoration as both these changes I made had great schematic drawings with easy to understand instructions. Scott

Check with the Fan-Man, he has all the sizes you could want. I used a 16in pusher on my 36, when I put AC in had to switch to two 10in pushers one above the other.

A fan is something you don't want to skimp on. I first bought an economy fan and although it was on a thermostat and didn't run except on slow driving, it started vibrating from a bad bearing/bushing in three years. I bought a Spal and it has been great for 15 years. I have only heard good about the Cooling Component fan, too.
