Hello all,

Since I have to build a new engine I am looking for parts sources. Is EGGE in So. Cal. any good (i.e. quality/support)? Sould I buy their complete engine rebuild kit or the individual parts from Snyders/Brattons/Mike's etc.?
She will get a Snyders or Brumfield Hi Comp. head and a 'B' cam, for sure. Not sure about babbitt vs. inserts yet. Babbitt should be fine as I am not running her to hard. I am planning to drive her to Mich. 2012 though.

Within the last three years, I have installed their "new" Model A pistons which use the thinner (than original) small block Chevy piston rings. The pistons come in balanced sets. I have been satisfied with their product. It appeared to me that the engine broke in quicker as compared to what I have experienced with the wider original rings. I also appears that the oil is staying cleaner between 1000 mile changes. At this point, I have over 6000 miles total on the two engines. I plan to use Egge's piston assemblies on my next overhaul.

I am running Faluca's inserted rods, Stipe's "Touring" cams, and Snyder's 5.5 heads on both engines. Gar Williams

A friend bought a set of original style pistons and pins from Egge for his Model B engine in his A. I thought 2 of the piston pins had a loose fit. They were more like .001" instead of .0005".
