If Henry had ended the T and brought out the A sooner this could have been the production 31 model

The Model A should have been introduced in 1925 instead of the "improved Ford" Model T. That would have kept Chevrolet in the wings. But who could have predicted the future in 1923 or 24?

Look like "steerable" headlights, yes? and that small grill item between the lights , perhaps a horn? Nise custom bumper!

Somewhere, possibly one of the Model A magazines, they described a "reproduction" of the Edsel Ford car. The only concession I remember was that parts of the body were produced in fiberglass - this being a matter of available skill set.

Not too many "tin-knockers" around who can do it like it used to be done.

I checked the online "Restorer" Index PDF and out of 15 entries for "Edsel," none was about the repop car.

The original was found, restored and even displayed at the MAFFI Museum at the Gilmore in 2013.
I see Vince has addressed a "replica" which seems to have "borrowed" parts of the original.

The article I remember went into more depth about the development/reproduction of the car, but the front headlights I seem to remember were "reproduced" using the no longer-usable original parts as model. Those "parts" may still be out there if indeed this is the repop I read about.

As I say, the only compromise mentioned in the creation of this "custom copy" of an original custom car was a segment or two of the body in fiberglass. Vince's replica may be that car.

Here's a photo of the tribute car at Pebble Beach in 2003:

....and here's the real one after its rediscovery and restoration, at Pebble Beach in 2014:

Note that that is the only Ford Model A to have ever appeared on the field at Pebble Beach.

Here are a couple more photos of the real one:
