Edsel valve cover oil seal

I am changing the timing belt on my '59 Edsel and want to change the oil seal gasket in the valve cover. That sucker is glued in tight. I have tried brake cleaner, carb cleaner, engine starter fluid, and tried baking it in the oven. How do you get that old oil seal piece out?

Timing belt??? It has a timing chain.
292 V8? You'll probably have to pry out the seals around the two valve cover bolts.

Yes, timing chain. 361. I got the screw driver between the cover and the seal and worked it out.
