Edelbrock Slingshot manifold

Anyone tried the Edelbrock Slingshot manifold yet, my past life (before flatties) I ran a red hot tunnelrammed windsor in a hiboy and it did like to have the revs up around town due to the height of the plenum, just wondering if the same characteristic is shared with the slingshot manifold. I know there are plenty of good streetable twin carb manifolds out there but I'm drawn to the different look of the slingshot:rolleyes:

I have one on a 4"x.60, old track cam in a 34 PU with Columbia 4:11 lower range. Runs great for a driver. I believe one advantage is alittle better mileage. It definately is not a drag racing intake.

Thanks Jim,

I'm happy with the 39 Mercury in my 36, Edelbrock heads and electronic dissy for reliable spark. I like the look of the slingshot just wanted to know how streetable they are and you've answered that.My racing days are over (almost) at my age I've got nothing to prove and I like to tinker so I'm extra glad I got into flatheads a few years ago.

Unfortunately we haven't fired ours up yet, but we're getting close! :D

I had mine on a 8BA in a model A for a few years. It ran great, great throttle response, fair mileage. When I sold the model A I was sure to keep it. Putting mine back on the road in few years.

A vintage one! Nice!!

I wanted a vintage Slingshot, but unfortunately for me, I am priced out of the market on that one. :(

Got an original one recently too. Always envisioned running one on a late 40s roadster build. The original roadster body is a recent addition too.

Plan on replacing the 8BA engine with a 59AB. Believe there was a recent article in Hotrod magazine discussing the performance of the Edelbrock slingshot.
