Edelbrock heads

Have got a set of new Edelbrock heads for the 39 Mercury engine in my 36, also the longer studs and new head nuts. Should I have any concerns about changing the studs over, my engine was rebuilt (previous owner) and I assume these are the original studs. Just worried that I might snap off the old ones trying to get them out, any/all advice welcome as too the best way to take the old ones out and fit the new ones. I thought I'd have to use a thread sealer on the new ones and anti sieze on the nuts.
What head gasket would you recommend?

36 henry you need a stud remover or sometimes you can use 2 nuts however if the engine was rebuilt by a shop they would have had to remove the studs so maybe they might be easy to remove fingers xed

Why bother to remove them, unless they are too short. Check piston to head clearance, Mill for .050: clearance. BEST gaskets are very popular. Torque to 45 ft/lbs for 3 heat cycles.
