Edelbrock 952 Intake

I have a vintage Edelbrock 952 Four Barrel intake. My questions is do these intakes have an angle in the carb mounting surface.......or put another way is the carb higher in the back than the front. My carb will have about a 3/8 inch list to it when mounted. Is this a boat intake?

All late intakes have the carbs on an angle. The later blocks sat in a sort of "saddle" so to speak and the rear of the engine was tipped downward. The angle on this intake looks a little steeper than most, but hard to tell. My guess is that it's the normal angle for a late intake.

I have one also and it too is higher at the rear of the carb flange. As stated before, later cars engine and transmissions angled down at the rear and the carb base is offset to compensate for this. The engine angle helps driveline alignment when open drive is used, and early cars with torque tubes did not need the angle.
