Echlin coil question, 39 Ford Deluxe 6v

I have a brown Echlin coil on my 39 Ford Deluxe. It has "A product of Echlin" with a walking bear on the top of it. I assume it is a replacement coil but have not been able to find any info on them. My car is 6v NEG ground and I am going to switch it back to positive ground. 1st question, is this an oil filled coil or sealed like the newer replacements? I am going to pull it as a I am having issues of the car dying after short running periods and it is getting worse. I am going to replace the condenser as well.
 
Echlin had several coils that could have been used on your car with some additional modification. The old coils are filled with a goo like tar substance which is most likely carcinogenic. Don't take it apart. IMO find a nice original Ford coil and have it rebuilt by Skip Haney in Fla. change to the original battery polarity. +gnd.
NAPA P/N for the original style condenser is FA-49
