29spcoupe Well-known member Mar 1, 2017 #2 The 4 to 1 gears have no markings, while the 5 to 1 gears have a 5 on them. If you want to change the gears, you must use the correct pinion for that set. The pinions for the 4 to 1 are different than the 5 to 1.
