I just picked up an early model a chassis. It is frame number A2022 early December of 27. What S/N was the last AR? It has the left side handbrake. The front and rear crossmembers look different from the later A's. It is in good condition. It was converted to a sawmill at one time and currently has a vintage Chevy four cylinder and transmission cobbled in. I would be willing to sell or swap for another chassis if someone is looking for a nice early chassis/frame. No significant modifications were made to the frame to install the Chevy motor.

AR doesn't mean much to me. It's definitely in the "Very Early" catagory.

the early ones have a solid front engine mount.
there is a service bulletin about cutting that mount off and changing to the spring type mount.
i am using an early frame with the solid front engine mount in a project car im building, it will be interesting to see if it vibrates more than my other cars.
