Early front fenders

Early Model As are unique in many ways but are the front fenders different? Are they interchangeable with later 28s or is it just shape , at a glance they look the same

From RGJS. The early fenders do interchange with the later 28-29 front fenders.

Thanks for the information, my late May 28 has as in the right hand picture.

My 28 roadster pickup has 1 early fender and 1 late fender.

Ford made several changes to the braking system, rods, and E-brake set ups. This required changes to fenders and aprons over time.
