Just received a picture of a Stewart (Division of Detroit Lubricator) carburetor stamped "Model FORD".
Last patent date is November 1911.
Carburetor is an updraft (not the normal sidedraft used on the Ford model T, and has a cross flange.
Very difficult to be certain about size from a picture, but guessing 1 inch carb, which would have a center to center mounting spacing of 2 7/16 inches.
Based on the carburetor serial number, guessing this carb was built in 1912 or maybe 1913.
Would like to know what it fits, for my records.
Industrial engine ? Export ? Truck ? Race engine ?
Anyone have any proof, or even any SWAGs on this ?
Thanks in advance.
Jon
