Early Ford distributor.

Helped a friend with the distributor on his 32 Ford, what a piece of engineering! I understand that there is a test fixture used to properly set them up. Any ideas where I can purchase one, might be a Hershey item but I don't know what they look like or what I would have to pay, I don't think I have ever seen one on E-Bay, any ideas!

Woodie,
There are a few different types of setup FIXTURES available....not to
be confused with the dynamic setup machines like the Sun or Allen or Ford. The best
FIXTURE in my opinion is the KR Wilson. I can send you a description sheet
which clearly shows the FIXTURE I am referring to and precisely takes you thru the
procedure. email me at cas5845@yahoo.com with your address. I have a couple
spare KR Wilson fixtures for sale but not at $134.

You can set them pretty well as long as they are not worn, with the "Ruler Method ". A google search on that should find it for you. I have used it and verified it on a distributor machine, and found it dead on.

I have a VCL (ford Lincoln) dist set up fixture... I am looking for the description to take me thru the procedure. Anybody?
