Early 32 Ford Differential.

My 32 Ford has an 'early' rear end. The pinion bolts onto the cone shaped end of the driveshaft and is keyed, not splined. The crown has 34 teeth and the pinion 9 teeth making it a standard 3.78:1 ratio. Mac's catalog shows 32 pinions as splined. I have decided that my early rear end is essentially a late Model A rear end, except that the 32 has 4 spiders, not 3 like the model A. Any comments or clarification on this would be veryu much appreciated.

Something is amiss as the B-prefix axle originally had three spider gears and the 18-prefix axle had four and you cannot just switch from one to another without having other major components needing to be changed.
