EAB D Questions

This is my second purchase in as many days. I was told that it came out of a 51 4D passenger car. I got a whole lot of surprises as I researched my purchase. Especially with the ******. When I looked at it I thought it was a side shift standard at first. Never knew Ford came out with an automatic in 51. I have many questions. I have purchased two in-depth books on Flatheads but have not received them yet. So any help will be appreciated. Again, The D on the head and B192. The 11 and B12(?)23 on the back of the block. I presume that the 8BA 8RT 6520 is an intake used on both engines. Now the transmission. The casting number on the bell housing, 1P-7976-C says it is a 55-56. Check out the other numbers and tag on the ******. Is this configuration a rare find. I will probably offer up the ****** for sale as I have a 3 speed top loader.

Just after high school, I helped a friend change the Fordamatic in his '53 two door to a stick. I remember we had a few problems, but these weren't them and I'm sure I would remember them if they reared their ugly head. Since this engine is most likely out of a Ford ("EAB"), he probably lucked out.
