E-Brake Handle Adjustment

Newly acquired & restored 29 PU: The e-brake handle has no resistance when pulled back and only holds somewhat tightly with one click when fully pulled back.
Where would I adjust this? From the lever to the brake shaft rod, OR on the rods going back to the wheel. I did read the SB page 265, but I am still unclear.
I really appreciate any help you can provide.:)

First thing to do is to take the rear hubs off and look at the linings for the emergency (parking) brakes. They may need to be replaced. If not then the adjustments are at the forward part of the pull rods.

Do I screw them towards the front of the truck or towards the rear?

My 1930 AA has two options for placement of rod clevis pin in the E brake cross shaft lever. Book says it’s the only adjustment for wear. Not sure if car is same.

You would screw them towards the rear. This will shorten the rod and take up any slack. But, please check the linings on the emergency brake shoes first.

If you do adjust the rods, turn the adjustments (clevis's) the same turns on both sides.
