Available reproduction parts are limited to hardware, brushes, rear covers, and projectors. Many parts are similar between the 5 different manufacturers but not the exact same in many cases. There are plenty of originals still out there if you know where to look. Articles about all the different horns can be found in both the Restorer books from MAFCA and the Technically Speaking books from MARC. Several manufacturers changed their products during the four years and some made several changes. The more research, the more you will know about yours.

Sphooch, Try these things first: using a light oil (3-in-1) or something similar oil both ends of the motor shaft felts. back off the adjusting screw until motor turns free. clean the commutator with solvent to remove oil, dry and then using fine sandpaper the finer the better, to shine the copper segments. Can do this while motor is running. As the segments get cleaner the fast the motor will run. Finally using a toothpick clean between the segments. After all this you should be good to go!
