I thought that checked the terminal on the starter previously----Apartently not. I have no voltage coming out the starter and I'm not sure what the fix is. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

battery cable . thats all there is between the battery & starter .............. steve

yea battery cable is all. Are you testing from the battery terminal to the fire wall terminal block or from the frame to the firewall terminal block?

Is there a fuse on the starter that the yellow wire is connected to? If you push on the starter button on the floor dose the starter turn over?

Yes, the starter works and the engine runs. My problem is that there is no 6V to the lights, horn, or taillights. I also have voltage on both sides of the fuse.

Ross,

I don't understand how the starter post could be dead but both side of the fuse, one side of which connects to the starter post, could be live.

Otherwise, assuming I'm confused about what the "post" is, it sounds like a bad connection at one of the ammeter terminals. Quick check is to put a jumper wire across the two junction box terminals. If you're using conventional Model A wiring, that will jump you around the ammeter. This assumes that you're using the very early "A" wiring in which the ignition circuit didn't go through the ammeter. If you're using the later, perferred, wiring, then I really don't understand how the car could run.
