Does anyone know if anyone sells dual exhaust manifolds for a 1951 ford flathead v8? I am specifically looking for a manifold and not headers. Does pat Rooney still make them? Does anyone know how to contact him? I am in a time crunch so replies are greatly appreciated!!

Save yourself a lot of $$, fit problems and just find a good pipe man. He will block the right crossover connection, and come off your left manifold, clear the dipstick and steering box. Just make sure he makes clearance for when the clutch is depressed. Keep things simple.

I talked to Chris at Shoebox Ford yesterday about the same subject,he informed me that the driverside manifold for duals are no longer availible. As for using the existing manifold it would be difficult because the crossover is up front not in the middle as on the earlier Fords. If a source for the special manifold is found pllese let me know.Phil

Phil,
The crossover outlet up front poses no problem for a good pipe guy. Any "backpressure" concerns are none existant and the front outlet gives them more room to make a nice return. Even with the left hand manifold you still need a good bender.

I made some adapters to use the passenger side manifold on the drivers side, thus giving a rear exit. But it might interfere with the steering??
