Drum Machine for V8 Ford Drums, picked up a Drum Dokter Brake Drum Lathe today, need information on machine, any manuals for machine would be great. Also, all the mandrels/fixtures were not with machine, any used parts available? This unit has a small shaft that will accept Model A to at least the 48 V8 rear hubs. I placed a rear drum on unit but need several fixtures to center hub, found a lot of good threads about machine on Ford Barn. Thanks Ryan for another great year of Fordbarn.

How can someone have one of these machines for years and not have the adapters to go with it when it comes time to sell it?
 
Don, man that had machine purchased and let set in his garage collecting dust, dirt. Until my wife told him that I had several old cars he did not remember having machine. He never used machine, he has his commercial garage that he owns and makes living at, one garage in Ohio and the one I visited yesterday at his home in WV. I did find out that he has a modern tire machine that does static and dynamic wheel balance. We will have to talk to him about mounting your new tires and get a cost, he has several mid to late Sixty Cars and Pickup Truck. Happy New Year???

I have the same machine as you do with a ton of adapters and attachments. I will dig up the charts I got with the machine and email them to you if you PM me your email. I have three shafts, a grinder and some other parts. I have used it to lighten Model A flywheels and to cut V8 drums. Let me know what you need and I will try to help.

I have one too but mine is red. It came with some adapters but not the ones for the Model A. A machinist friend made some adapters for the Model A and it now works fine. I can send you a copy of the service manual in .pdf. Just send me a PM with your email address.

Curious how do you do flywheels with this machine? Do you crank it by hand outward? Thanks
