Dropping a 50 f-1

I've got a 3 in. drop axele and a set of 3 in. drop springs. A couple questions, do I need to use the wedges on the bottom of the old springs or can I go with out them? If so where can I get these wedges or can I take the old ones off the old spring pacs? One more thing , the tie rod drop blocks,is that all it takes to get the tie rod below the spring where it belongs? Any input appreciated. Thanks Jim

I have a CCT dropped axle in my F-1 with reverse eye stock springs. I reversed the eyes myself. I used the tie rod spacers and it goes down the road very well. Your 3" axle should mount just like the factory one so don't throw any piecs away until you get yours in. It's going to be really low with the 6" total drop and should look great. Be sure and put back 1/8" toe for stability.

Good luck,

Tim

I have a 48 f-1. to the best of my knowledge you still have to
use the wedges because they are there to set the caster, and with
out them the truck will not steer right, I tried my truck with and
without the wedges and there was a major differance..
