Droopy sun visors

The sun visors on my 47 Ford droop. By this I mean they wont stay in the up position. They slowly drop into the down position. Is fixing this as simple as putting a slight bend in the sun visor rods?

Any other solutions?

Bending the rods is the solution I used on our '47 convertible's sun visors, they've been holding for 19 years so far.
 
I had this problem with my 54 Studebaker Pickup. I took each one apart and funny thing we rolled alluminum foil on the rod, then re-fitted it back into the pocket.

Worked great.

still good after 6 years
 
I removed the sun visor and slipped a small rubber "O" ring on pushed it all the way to the end, reinstalled the sun visor. Works great.
