Driving without insurance is a risk - do you really think that it is worth the possibility of losing everything you own if you kill or maim someone. Accidents come when least expected. Lack of registration is a violation of State law - you may get a fine, it may be a big one. If you have no insurance and are at fault for a serious accident you risk a lot more. Aside from being illegal it's irresponsible.
