Draining steering box

I have been following the recent posts about leaking steering boxes. There is so much oil leaking from my 2 tooth box I thought it must be empty so I ordered some PennRite steering lube to re-fill it. When I took the top plug out to do so, I was surprised to see the level only down about .25-.5 inch. So here's the question, is there an easy way to drain the rest of the 600wt from the steering box ?? I know I can just wait a few months and it will all be on the floor but I'd like to do it a little sooner than that. Any ideas ?? thanks

You said(top plug) I'm new here but I believe the bottom plug is the fill plug and the top plug I was told it was only for inspection. But someone more knowledgeable may chime in

If you have the stock cork "seal" at the bottom for ther light rod all you have to do is take apart the light switch and hardware off the end of the horn rod, lift it up some and wait----if you have the updated tube you have to take it out too----if you have the original cork put it back together with the tube type---you could reduce your leak quite a bit

On a road trip Saturday the steering got real tight and squeaky. I filled up the steering box with Lucas. 1/4 mile and the problem was gone. Yea! Next morning all the Lucas was on the garage floor. Go figger.
