Drag link Lube

I have just purchased a new set of springs and Teflon inserts for my drag link from Brattons. When I took my old metal ones out I noticed the insert that was closest to the grease fitting had two channels/grooves on opposite sides of the insert facing the fitting. I assumed that these would let grease pass from the fitting to the ball on the pitman arm. Now these new teflon ball cups do not have those, the fit snug inside the link. How does grease pass by them to get to the ball?? Of course I can grease the whole thing prior to assembly but what then? Any info would be helpful.
Thanks

After greasing on assembly, no additional grease is required on teflon inserts.

My drage link has lots of slop so yesterday I purchased the Teflon inserts from Brattons and will be installing soon. Did you have any problems with the exception of greese hole alingment ? did it make a differance ?
