Anyone know where I can get a drag link repair kit for a '41 truck. Macs and the other usual suppliers show kits for 32-34 and for post-48 but not for mine. Pitman arm for a '41 truck would also be good.

D M, They list them for the earlier years because the ends are dismantleable and rebuildable.

I think you have to buy a complete new drag link if you need a later one.

I should say that my truck is a '41 Canadian military (so-called CMP) and they seemed to use a variety of parts some from earlier models, some from the commercial COE truck, some from the pick-up and some from the passenger car - Mercury engine. My drag link looks just like the early ones with the large diameter slotted adjustable ends like the '32-'34 type. I just dont know if the early kit parts are the same diameter springs/cups/ends. Unfortunately you cant tell from the parts catalogues.I attach a fairly poor photo showing the drag link and Pitman shaft that I would like to replace

The drag link on 35 - 40 cars and 35 - 41 pickups have ball joint type tie rod ends. If you have a tonner or larger truck you might try Joblot. They have more for the bigger trucks. www.joblotauto.com
