Does anyone know of an easy way to get the double cone out of the differential housing? Soaking with PB blaster now, however does not want to
break loose.

I recommend that you do not use a bottle jack inside the banjo housing. This was the prescribed method of removal suggested in a number of early how to books. Most double races are in there very tight and you can easily end up with the banjo distorted to a shape similar to a football.

If you still have the drive shaft with the pinion and the rear bearing still installed. Put it back through the banjo and improvise a tool to use as a puller. The trick is to clamp a fixture onto the drive shaft so that it does not move. Then with a couple of plates with large bolts inserted pull the race out. The effort should be to press against the flange where the torque tube attaches.

The Mitchell overdrive people sell such a tool. I understand they rent it out if you are purchasing an overdrive from them.

Here are a couple of photos of the tool I have and the one Mitchell sells,
