Double Clutching

I Double clutch down shifting only. My father once demonstrated that if you get the revs right you can shift even without a clutch . You just get the revs right and knock the gearlever into gear . He did it with my Model A both up and down and it was smooth and virtually silent -I like my gearbox to much to try and learn how to do it -Karl

I double clutch up shifting. Though from what you are all saying I may be staying in first too long. However, I also double clutch down shifting and for one reason or another I cannot keep from grinding gears down. Have zero issues with up shifting, listen to the motor and know when to shift. Down shifting that's a whole different issue...

It's been my experience that most people, including me at times, don't rev the engine enough when downshifting.
