Door Hinge Pin removal '31 Coupe & distributor fun.

I found this thread regarding hinge pins very interesting. I can't keep mine in on my roadster. They keep working their way up and out because they are worn. Is there a good way to alter the pins to keep them in place?

Roadster hinges are an entirely different animal then closed car hinges. The have stamped loops that are not fully closed (rather than forged or cast). The easiest way to help the pin from lifting is to gently hammer the loop slightly more closed on the bottom of the 3 prong hinge, the pin should then be a tap fit.

The other method is to gently peen the bottom of the pin until the swells just enough to not move upwards. Because the loops for the pins are not fully closed they will spring open slightly if needed to remove the pin.
