Any advice on easiest way to remove the door handle(35 pickup) from Door casing to replace with new one. I believe the handle needs to be rotated in door mechnaism about 3/4's to pull from mechanism ?
Take the outside screws out of the handle, then pull the handle out as far as it will go. At that point, hold the outside handle and the inside handle at the same time and work the inside handle up and down so the holes inside the lock align and then pull the outside handle all the way out. You have to play with it a little to get it right. Replace in reverse order.
Thanks. I have a 3:78 rear end out of a 40 sedan. Haven't had it out much on the highway yet, but at 50-55 it does great. Stlll has a few bugs that need to be worked out, but very happy with it so far.
