I recall a thread last week where somebody got some friendly ribbing on their spelling. I just ran across this in my stuff and thought you folks might enjoy it!

THE PAOMNNEHAL PWEOR OF THE HMNUAN MNID

I cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdgnieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmnuan mnid, aoccdrnigh to rscheerearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, alowls it not to mttaer waht oredr the ltteers are in a wrod. The olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Amzanig huh? Yaeh, and I awlyas thguout slpelnig was ipmorantt!

That is amazing ! If you just look at one word at a time, you say, "WTF !". But, it is easy to read the whole sentence.

This has been debunked. Try making up your own paragraph by scrambling the letters in the words and it doesn't work. This thing was carefully written so as to make it readable with the letters scrambled in just the right way so you can make it out.
 
Yea, I had seen emails like this in the past.

And I don't think it has been debunked. I think its a proven fact.

ratamahata, the first and last letters must remain the same therefore to and the cannot be switched ;)
