Does this speaker fit a 1937 closed car ??

It came with a 1937 radio that i bought years ago.

It measures 5 1/4" o.d. X 2 1/4" tall made by philco.

I have a radio service data sheet showing the receiver,
control unit and speaker.

The picture of the speaker shows a different style.

That looks like the sort of speaker that goes with a 37 radio. I have found it works better to use a modern speaker which pulls much less juice and cannot be seen anyway behind the header panel.

It looks like you have a 1936 speaker. I have included photos of a 36 speaker for comparison. The 37 closed car speaker looked similar but had a mounting flange as shown.
