Do You Mount Your Own Tires?

Muscle and good quality tire irons. I use two tire irons, both wrapped with tape to keep from messing up the paint.

I had a 1930s era Michelin tire iron break when I went to take an old tire off. That did wonders for the ego...HAHA. In all honesty I suspect it had a hairline crack that wasn't visible. :(
 
Once the bead is broken you should have the tire loose within the drop center rim, so it is just a matter of working it off carefully with the tire spoons so that the tube is not damaged. This is described by others here already. Have you ever changed the tire on a bicylcle?
