Do these numbers identify the part?

This chart was supplied to an earlier question I posted about identifying Ford generators. http://www.fordgarage.com/pages/generatorchart.htm
It's nice, and the photos help, but I don't find these numbers on any of these generators. The photos show numbers I can find on exterior. Are the real part numbers inside somewhere? Thanks.

You will not find those numbers anywhere on the piece. They are an assembly of many parts which are assigned a Ford part number for the assembly. Some individual part numbers may be stamped on some of the pieces.

Those numbers do help narrow it down. The letters are indicative of what year the generator was produced. A letter "T" is 1939, a letter "U" is 1940. You can figure out the rest.
The numbers are indicative of what month the generator was produced. A number "1" is January and so forth.
Unfortunately many generators have been mismatched through the years. Most often with a different front and / or rear plate.
From what I can see in your photos, yours appear to be in their original assembly.
Front plates, for many years had a part number cast in to them.

Kube, that helps greatly and makes sense. Do you know how the one marked AA-4 fits into the picture? Thanks for your input. Fred
