Do I really have a T wrench?

I bought a wrench today, similar to this picture-except mine only has the M in Diamonds, the 645 and says only "Brake and Reverse". Any help with an ID-year,etc or maybe aftermarket? would be appreciated. It was one of three wrenches I bought for $2 (another was a Model A open end wrench) so I won't feel too bad if it's just wall art. Thanks.

It's not a Ford wrench, but it's a Model T wrench. As Jack says, it's for adjusting transmission bands. The bottom two wrenches in this picture are Ford's version for the same job. They're #1917, a standard part of the tool kit that came with every new Model T.

That's the fore runner of the gearwrenches of today. Altho neat ( I have several) they really aren't that necessary. A typical band adjustment (if you stay on top of things) isn't usually more than 1/2 to 1 full turn on the nut. The T-1917 wrench is ideal for this. I just adjusted the low band last week (cotton scandinavias' ) for the 3rd time in two years and it took 1/2 turn on the external bolt.
Even when due for a band job, I push the ears over with a screw driver to get the nuts off the stops and spin them the rest by finger. ws
