Distributor ideas

Hey im building a 35 5 window coupe and i have a sbc 350 that is going in it and im curious what the best distributor would be for the setup that isn't pushing 300.00 i was was told about a pertornics because iwould give it enough clearance because of the firewall but im not sure my dad had a dual point in there originally and it doesn't look like its salvageable. any advice on a good set up would be great
 
Hi mumbles, Yes we are mostly flathead ford here, but I would say a pertronix unit which fits right inside your ORIGINAL Chev dist. to replace the points is your best bet. Almost bulletproof and very easy to fit. Would only take you a half hour to fit it up for $100.00 or so. I have two fitted to my 1960s fords for many years and never a problem with them.
