distributor body resistance

Does anyone know what the resistance of the dist. body should be for the electrical leads? Mine vary pretty much all over the scale from 1.1 ohms to 2K ohms. The car seems to run fine but I do have a chug every once in a while at idle. I am running electronic ignition and with the original style horn type dist. body. i would think that the resistance should be very low to allow maximum voltage to the spark plug for it to fire properly. Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

Make sure you're getting good connections with your meter leads. I would guess the body is OK, but your not getting a true reading.
