I like to use the water from our under sink R O.(reverse osmosis) I know that is the best I can get . Saw a topic on the tube where a guy in a lab had water in a vessel that was -40 & still liquified then he inserted a metal rod & pow instant ice. He said pure water will not freeze as it is the impurities that make the water freeze as he demonstrated.
Vergil,Is this for the radiator? The Mfg's of additives, water wetter types, anti corrsion and etc can't all agree on what is best. The best answer I got was from one of their teck desk guys and he said he uses rain water in his older engines. Just throwing it out, but when it rains again I will be saving me some to use.

Vergil,
If you get as little rain on the east side of town as I get on the west, you must be a patient man!
I would not count on that. Super cooled water will solidify if disturbed in any way.
Where are the guys that believe ,as I do , that totally demineralized water
will erode the cooling system.
