Distilled water

I use distilled water to clear the scale out of the cooling system. Fill, run, drain. Repeat until it drains clean.
Then use antifreeze.

What's the old saying "opinions are like rear ends, everybody's got one"? Why not do it like most manufacturers recommend? 50/50 anti-freeze and distilled water and NOT pure water or pure anti-freeze.
