Disc brake conversion

1) I have a 1962 F-100 and I would like to replace the front drums with discs and install a 2 circuit power booster/master cylinder. Has anyone had good luck with a system you can recommend?
2) I have a 262 6 cylinder engine (not original). The truck currently has a 3 speed on the tree manual. Would like to replace with a floor shift 4 speed, any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

I have no experience with your pickup, but the transmission issue is the same as on a car. I would never recommend anything other than a modern five speed if you have to buy a transmission. The overdrive is wonderful.

Thanks for all the leads on brakes.
Can anyone recommend an outfit I can call to explore the hardware needed to mate a modern 5 speed trans to a 6 cylinder 262 ford engine?

Try wilcap. They don't list one, but they've been around forever. They might have one that works. http://www.wilcap.com/index.html

Be careful looking at T-5's. There's been many versions over the years. Torque ratings, gear ratios, input shaft length and splines. Do a search over on the HAMB. Search, don't ask a question. It's easy to get flamed over there.

Johm Mummert makes an adaptor for a mustang t5 5 sp to a 6 cyl.
I added disks to my 64 with a dual res and used a kit from CCP. It fits and works perfectly.
