differences in slantwindshield rear fenders

what are the differences between a 31 slantwindshield rear fender and a regular sedan rear fender, I have a chance to buy a 31 slantwindshield car minus all four fenders and wondering how hard it will be to find rear fenders?

The dimple in the inner panel for the rear apron fasteners is what you are looking for. Matter of fact, several of us have dies made where we can actually install the dimples for fenders on cars we are working on. And, I am thinking there is even a commercially available patch panel that can be installed in a non-dimpled fenders to allow it to be used with the S/W cars. Does this help??

.

Along with the dimple you might have to weld up and redrill some holes where the rear apron bolts deplending on what body style you have.

John are you saying, or of the opinion that in July 1931 (for example), there would have been two different types of fenders produced for the Sedan, --one for the S/W type cars with an apron and yet another type w/o the dimple or holes for Phaeton/Tudors?

.

OK< Thanks, then if i understand brent right i can use a regular sedan fender as the wheel well and curve is the same it's just where the flaired skirt on the back of the S/W meets the inner skirt of the sedan fender that is diffferent? If thats the case i can hunt up regular sedan fenders and just re-do the inner skirt to meet the body? Thanks again for everyones helps and wealth of info.

No, just the dimple ones were made but the rear "body" apron is different from the sedans to the 400A's to the Vicky's so would have the holes drilled in a different place on the fender splash apron. Guess I wasn't clear.
