Difference between roadster doors?

Is there a difference between 28 and 29 roadster doors? If so, what is it? Also, I have a stamp of 2 22 on my firewall, what does that mean?

There was a change in the door lock, the early cars did not have a separate dove tail, it was part of the latch mechanism. So the early door did not have the slot, that is the telling thing on the doors. No outside door handles were the other part of this latch change.

Very early doors had no beads stamped on the inside surface... similar to the inside of a 27 door

Ok, looks like I got 29 doors, I am pretty sure the roadster is a 29 but the past owner could not remember whether it was a 28 or 29. I will try to find the missing numbers on the gas tank.
