Did Vintage speed sell me the wrong part?

Looking to put dual carbs on my flathead. Was told this slingshot adapter would be just the thing. Took off the car today and went to put this on and noticed that they don’t match up. What am I missing? I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question.

Have you tried to put the carburetor on the adapter ? Do the holes line up ?

It sure looks like the bolt spacing isn't correct? Have you checked to see if they line up? If not, send it back. It the bolts line up - the rest can be "fixed" with some "hogging out" of the openings.

Looks just like a poorly finished casting. You'll need to take a rotary file and match the opening in the casting to your carb base. If you don't, the "overhang" will not help the situation one bit.
