Both rear windows were caulked in place, and not with nice clear silicone adhesive caulk, but old white bathroom tub and tile caulk. When I chipped it all out, the window slid down and out and they will get replaced. So, I took the opportunity to remove the window regulators as it must be the reason why the glass was caulked in the upright position. One works pretty well and other, I can't figure out what is going on? The C channel that the bottom of the glass sits in is not attached properly and, to me, feels like it is on backwards and only one attachment point.
I need to make the decision to repair what is there or look at a replacement. Also had one extra shaft bracket mounted loosed on one of the doors and pushed in so the wall to wall carpet door panels would keep it from rattling.
Is the first pic the one with the channel on backwards. Feels like a clevis pin and cotter pin holding it in place and then the loose rubber shaft goes into the bracket that has nothing in it now?
Waiting for my restoration guide to arrive. Hope it has a chapter on window stuff.
