Dick Spadaro service

I have to report my latest transaction with Dick Spadaro Early Ford. Fantastic. I placed an order on this past Monday afternoon [the 19th]. The order included a center hood trim for my 40 std. I assumed this would create some packaging prblem [at least I hoped so] and probably a handling charge. I certainly assumed it would not be here untill after Christmas. Wrong. It arrived today, the Dec.22, NY to OK. Packaged just like you would do it if you were shipping to yourself. The total handeling and shipping charge was $12.50!!!!! In this day of outragous shipping and handeling charges his is a welcome change. I have said before that I have never had a bad experience with his company, but this was way beyond my expectations. I have used Dick Spadaro Early Ford over the past few years. Dick and Bill both have helped me with my projects with information & suggestions. They have treated me fair & square.I will support them with my orders in the future projects

I refer to these two as my "Early Ford Gurus". They have always been very helpful, given fast service when needed, and have at times directed me to another vendor when it was in my best interest. I knew when I met Dick that he was a wonderful resource of knowledge and a guy I could trust. If you aren't using his backup light switch you should. Instead of burying the brake pedal before the lights come on, a slight application of pedal does the trick. So easy to see when you have a third brake light.

Thanks for the info. Nice to know. Don't mind paying a good price for good parts but hate getting ripped off on the shipping. Does E-bay come to mind.
 
I don't know about ebay but I know the latest stuff I took to the post office were obscenely expensive.
 
Jim1932, our post office has a deal where you buy a box (several different sizes) for X amount of dollars and anything that fits in them ships for that amount. Not bad priced and weight limit is way up there in lbs.

There are good early Ford v8 parts suppliers and then there is Dick Spadaro...certainly one of the best you will find. What I like most about Dick is he knows these old Fords like no other supplier that I am aware of and he continually comes in here on these posts with helpful information. I seem to see him at almost every meet or show that I attend. When I see him I always stop to say hey and thank him for all he does for the hobby and I would urge everyone else to do the same.
 
Dick and Bill are "one of us'" ...down to earth guys.... not "non value added retailers" that just happened to be selling old Ford parts they buy from someone else..
 
I've been dealing with Spadaro for over 20 years and never had a problem only good experiences. Plan to have many more. Pete/Ct
