Sat next to Dennis by accident at the Ford Piquette Plant luncheon at the 2018 Nats at Dearborn. I'm sure he was not feeling well at that time as he was very quiet. The irony of it all was we were all wearing ID tags supplied by Bob Drake! Of course I still have mine. R.I.P. Dennis.... Bill
Gosh, that is terrible news. Mr. Carpenter was a fine person and a patriot who did
so much for our hobby. My God Bless him and his family. Dennis will be missed.
Met Dennis at Hershey a couple of times as well as at Charlotte Auto Fair and had the pleasure of touring the business ,very nice person, certainly leaving a big void in the hobby ! R.I.P. Dennis
Dennis will be truly missed! One hell of a nice guy and we go back to almost day one in the old car business. Rest In Peace my friend and condolences to Dan, the family and staff.
Dennis, did a lot for early V8 Ford lovers, the national club and the Early Ford V8 Foundation. He will be sorely missed, may he Rest in Peace. My condolences to his family during this trying time.
Sorry to hear about his passing. I have known Dennis for years, even when he was very much overweight. Never could get used to the slender version. RIP Dennis.
Yeah RIP Dennis. I bought my first ever resto parts from you when I had to mail an order away with a postal order and had to wait 3 or so months for the stuff to arrive down here at the "*** end of the world"..... then the internet arrived and made it easier. Thanks for your great Service.
Over many decades I enjoyed visiting with Dennis at Hershey every year. He was thoughtful, sincere and an absolute gentleman. His fondness for old Fords and own outstanding collection was deep and his knowledge vast. He made a major contribution to our interest with his high quality reproductions. He will be missed by all who knew him.
