Deluxe roadsters

I was at a show today, without my car, where the Model A class winner was a 31 deluxe roadster with a rear mounted spare. Didn't all 30-31 deluxe roadsters come from the factory with at least one sidemount?

'30 Models came with a sidemount and a rear trunk rack. '31 Models came with a rear spare. It's hard to find a 31 that hasn't been converted to dual sidemounts and rear trunk rack, but there's a few left. I have one.

My 31 came w/rear mount, but I always thought the side mounts looked more classy, so to each his own, I changed mine to duel mount.

I have the single left-side mount, luggage rack, and full bumper available on the Deluxe Roadster as options in 1931.

I like seeing duals, rears, and singles; they all look great to me.

If you look at archive photos of Ford Dealer showrooms, you'll see even 1930 Standard Roadsters displayed with optional dual sidemounts.

All a matter of taste and options, just like today's showrooms.
