I remember on the old Fordbarn that someone spoke in favor off these shocks, Delco Lovejoy, over original Ford Houdaille. Pair on Ebay now NOS for 37-41 rear I think. Do they perform, ride, better than what Ford supplied? Even NOS I imagine they would need gone over.

I don't know who may have mentioned them on the old Fordbarn but I have them on all four corners of my '35 and they are great! They ride better, corner better and reduce sway better than the original Houdailles. As for repair they seem vertually "bulletproof" The ones on my '35 have never leaked or needed adjustment and they have been on the car for more than 20 years. If you do go the Lovejoy route make sure you get the Ford adapters for your particular car. With the adapters everything bolts on quickly and gives the appearance of a "factory" installation.
